Jeep is down...but,

Postby CJ » April 1st, 2007, 2:55 pm

After an offroad trip the other week, I lost all brakes...part of the damn smog equipment came disconnected and rubbed on my front brake lines, and severed them. Thankfully, only a block from where I needed to be.

Under the Jeep removing the brake lines, I saw PS box was leaking. Ordered a new bracket, tie rod flip kit, and various other crap to do while box is off Jeep.

Also noticed that my front passenger axle is leaking...gonna have to replace that seal.

Next week I'm ordering my Throttle Body Injection.

If all goes well, I'll be wheeling Panamint Valley April 20th.

Maybe by then I'll have my 33" MT's

I haven't driven the Jeep for about 2 weeks and getting depressed.

Looks like it's gonna be an expensive year.

It took far too long, but I finally got the Jeep out today. Went up to Rowher Flats with a group from My Jeep Rocks. She ran perfectly. Still waiting for my Howell TBI. Bought the kit, but still need to flip my tie rods.

Suprise Cyn is closed...has been for several years, and it's still a battle to get it back opened.

We were going to go up Pleasant then down South Park. Next day we were going to go in Goler Wash and out ???

I just completed the loop and went all the way through megols pass. very interesting trip pleasant canyon was not very difficult to go up. if you go up to briggs cabin first it is an awesome time. there are some rock sections where you are going to be using a lot of side wall. I'll see if i can post some pictures from my trip. and from what I have heard that Suprise canyon has been re-opened

My wife was spending my money too quickly, so I ran out and bought me some new tires....BFG Muds, 35 x 12.5's.

I think I officially lost my 5th gear!!!! At least until I regear. :)
