YJ sway bar disco's

Postby farmer » April 3rd, 2013, 9:26 pm

ok i got some sway bar disco's
i know some of you dont even run the sway bars at all
but i want to keep mine just because mines a DD rite now
but the question is
i have only one sway bar, the back one is not there i looked in my haynes manual
and its pretty vague about if the yj even came with a rear SB
did it?
also when i do put on my disco i only have to put it on one side of the front
do to once one side is unhooked the sway bar is null correct?
also on a stock yj whats the amount of distance that to get from the top of the axle
to the bump stop
im thinking that my leaf springs are tired
seems like im only getting about 4" does this sound rite?
thx farmer

Yjs didnt come with rear sway bars

You need to disco both sides up front to move sway bar up and out of way

Spring to bumpstop distance on yjs is short 4" sounds about normal, you dont want the springs to go into a negative arch

thx for the reply Matt
would anyone know where i could get some sway bar mount bolts
the stock one had to be heated up and beat with a sledge to get out
i went to budget bolt and the closest ones they had were to big
went to 4WP's no luck
trying to get them done by this weekend
