when neither one is street legal

at the 4wp c.a.d. run, my rig went back on the trailer on sunday, stuck in
3rd gear. you could put the shifter in any position, but the tranny was
stuck in 3rd.


this weekend i pulled the transfer cases and tranny out of the truck
and disassembled & cleaned the tranny.

i can find absolutely nothing wrong with it,,, it looks brand new inside.
the gears, the syncros, the forks, the shift rails, the roll pins, "C" clips
the cases. it shifts just fine on the bench

IT"S ALL GOOD
the only thing i can come up with, is the plastic parts up on top are
warn enough to cause the problem.

waiting for gaskets and seals to re-assemble.
