Matt, are you running new hard fuel lines? Doing the bending/flaring yourself. If so, I would like to learn to do that for when I redo the fuel system on the caddy next month.

just do it with a wire to start out with and then follow the wire as you do your bends with the line. Gather the proper fittings and put the correct ones on the ends before you flare them.

Travis i believe its more concern about the flares, sealing properly over routing.

It does take practice to make good flares, could potentially waste a good bit of time and money if not done right.

Yea, most of the home-jobs I have seen were very shitty and many leaked. I have to redo some of the brake lines on my buggy too, because a couple of bad flares are sucking in air. I have all of the tools and am comfortable doing brake lines, but have never attempted hard fuel lines. I guess I will practice a little with my old lines before making new ones.

American Fab will be done making my fuel cell next week so I can get started.

When i tried fuel lines previosly i cracked the flares, because the tool didnt clamp them properly

And its now dead.... lol but only slightly

I forgot that a 4 link with 14" airshocks travels quite a bit farther than leafs with 10" shocks....

Bound up the cv rear driveshaft and broke it.

Heres some action with carnage

Thanks to Aaron got the dshaft clearenced and back together, max angle is 32degrees unfortunately i drooped out rear and checked angle its 42-45degrees, going to have to add a limit strap or spend 1k on a 42degree dshaft.

Having a longer than stock trans even with a 5" stretch in the rear is killing me.

When i swap to a v8 later this summer, ill move drivetrain forward to get back the length i need in rear dshaft

Looks like you need to redo your mounts so more shaft is showing on those shocks. Add some limit straps, and you can take full advantage of those 14 inchers without bind and run through the whoops without bottoming out.
