The tires right now at compression are 1.5" from fenders with 37 tires i can maybe gain 1" compression moving shock mounts considering it...

If i can i will take some more measurements tomorrow perhaps i will redo shock mounts to have 5-6" uptravel rather than 4-5", and make the dshaft more survivable

Yep, I would shoot for 5-6" of uptravel with those 14s. 8" of downtravel is plenty and lets you haul ass to the trailhead.

I ripped the gas tank, battery, some tube, and everything off the back of the Caddy today. I have the air bumps for you in my garage. Then when you get your shocks right, you can install those.

Reset ride height tonight and did a ton of measuring, now at 6" uptravel in rear, 22" belly, rechecked shock mounts, to gain any more uptravel would have shock mounts in passenger area

Im going to lower tcase in skid by an inch or so to gain better dshaft angles

Jeep sits exactly level with the 6" in rear and 7.5" uptravel on front

Got it back together dropped tcase an inch and put in a center limit strap.

Gonna end up changing drivelines when i put in v8 later this year, so didnt make major changes yet

Weird part is the rear shocks got same pressure in both and shaft showing but when turning left have serious body roll and hardly any when turning right

May end up draining oil and nitro and refilling oil in both to stock then retune both.

4700Lbs....

Thats with all gear and two kids, and 3/4tank, only thing ididnt have was spare tire

Gotta add a few feet of tube to cage and aluminum top, so another 50 on top of that plus 100 for spare, and another 50 for cooler...

Basically 5k lbs loaded... time for a diet...

Well loaded up everyone and headed up to Gorman for the test run redux.

It worked great, did the climbs in training area first, put a couple scratches on fresh lower link paint.

Next was the flying w trail. Started hitting the whoops at decent speed, hit around 40mph before the front end started banging somewhere.

Had zip strips on all shocks, was 2" left of travel on all 4 no matter how hard we hit them.

It felt lightyears better than 2mo ago with rear leafs on same whoops.j

Then we let alexis and dylan drive around, alexis loves the gas pedal lol...

I am loving the airshocks, simple, effective and work great.

Calico trails feel a ton smoother than last year on same trail with leafs in back.

No super crazy unloading surprises like i had read about on the internets...went down same ledge as last year where the rearend is airborned and it landed softer and was much funner.

Still going to add bumpstops in rear for just in case factor but eben when dropping off the ledge the shocks didnt bottom
