If you went on a run this is where to brag about it!

Wow that was a very entertaining trip, more carnage than expected.

We arrived friday afternoon, mark and roger were ready and waiting. Josh and emily showed up around dinner time. Also bruce and george showed up saturday early morning.

For friday night entertainment we went to gatekeeper roger, josh, and myself crawled it with ease making it look like it wasnt a gatekeeper.

Next we cruised up to the entrance of scrambler just to show roger and look forward to when we do it.

Went back down doran, myself and josh were feeling frisky so went down gatekeeper, a couple near flops later we headed to camp.

Saturday morning everyone rose early, yes even josh, so we decided to hit gatekeeper and doran before the rest of everyone showed up.

Roger and josh went through without too much trouble. I got disoriented in the daylight and got nound up bad...ripped upper shock mount off the frame. We switched my airshock suspension into a rock solid set up(pics to follow).

I backed out with some winch and headed back to camp to repair.
We got back and the rest of group was arriving and setting up camp.

Chris came prepared with the ready welder, after some welds and bracing i was rolling again.

So we all decided to go run doran loop, chris and henry wanted to go through gatekeeper on way up.

Chris made it through with good spotting from henry. Henry got in and almost up but broke as well and got the winch.

After much drama at gatekeeper we finally got on a trail. Everyone cruised up doran with no issues then we went down odessa.

Going down was interesting myself and gj dropped off the ledge with some two wheel action.

Henry went down the quickest but the sudden stop at the bottom ended his day. We tried to get him rolling again, but to no avail, so we strapped him back to camp.

Saturday night was a good time at camp, some trail repairs were happening and cooking and hanging out.

Saturday night we went to gatekeeper again, josh put on a show with a spectacular ending. After that break we all went back to camp.

Overall a good weekend other than us not resisting the temptation of gatekeeper. ..

See everyone again soon.

Lots of Carnage in a 8 hour time frame!!!

* 2 failed ARBs
* one broken shock hoop
* 1 broken master cylinder
* One hydro-locked engine (Henry rolled)
* 1 broken axle shaft
* a couple lost beads and one bent rim

Joshy and I dug out ALL of the rocks on Gatekeeper with our big tires. Now its VERY HARD and impassable with tires under 40", until someone stacks a ramp under the overhang again :banghead:

Henry came out okay... yes?

And what is with Josh and that wheel... isn't that the one that came off at BC109?

BWAHHHAHAH!

It was easy when they got there, folks rolling up with ease on 37s on Friday night/sat morning. Then Joshy and I went in there like a couple of careless dicks with oversized tires and kicked EVERY rock out of the under-cut, to the point where 43" tires can't do it :twisted: . That's when shit got interesting :lol3:

But, I'm sure the Cherokees and Toys will be back before long and set up a driveway with rocks for you before you get back out there :thefinger:

Henry was unscratched during the roll. His niece was complaining of pain in her hand, so they left after we got back to camp. Unfortunately, the buggy didn't fair well. The engine locked; we pulled the plugs and still can't get the crank to turn. Matt pulled him back to camp with almost no steering (he has full hydro and the engine wouldn't run), so you can image how tough that was.

I will post a video in about an hour.

Wow... hope she is okay!! Too bad on Henry's rig.... hopefully it isn't too expensive.

Glad to hear you fuggled it up, I am guessing it will be highway city once again by the time I get there. I guess I'll have to try and screw it up like you guys did. :Thumb:

youtube is getting very bad. making vid unusable in HD, deleting vid for profanity, and now making vids unviewable in the United States if they contain music! They rendered a video I made of my daughter driving her jeep unviewable because for 10 seconds of the video, you could hear the radio playing in her Jeep!!!!

we had just run over gatekeeper when matt broke and headed back to camp, we continued on. by the time we got back to camp, all the other ior folks had showed up, matt got his rig put back together, and they split out on the trail. when we got back, they were at gate keeper. shit broke everywhere, henry blocked it for awhile, then a cherokee, then josh. by the time DD, josh, henry, and the other guy were done, the obstacle was undo able without stacking rocks :thefinger:
