3.8 Oil pan skid

Postby jcook » June 5th, 2013, 8:13 am

Rob, I've been running the rancho skid for a while now, it's a good one. I was concerned about the way it is installed (RTV sealant). But it is a tight fit and once sealed, it's on there forever. I wouldn't hesitate running it, I think I got it from amazon for like 75 bucks, pretty cheap insurance if you ask me.

I have the Rancho skid on mine, which I installed in 2009 when I was still using the factory skids. I used RTV and the wires provided and it is actually still in place after all these years. It doesn't get beat much anymore because the rockhard skid covers it.

So I can't tell you how well it takes a hit (because I don't hit it), but I can vouch for the fact that they stay in place when installed correctly.
