Superchips Flashpaq for JK; Thumbs up

Postby Desert Dog » December 8th, 2009, 9:59 am

Thumbs up for Superchips flashpaq. Huge improvement for JK auto.

Shift points are perfect (no more trans looking for a gear), and way better acceleration. Dialed in my gears and tire size and my speedometer is now dead on too (GPS verified). The 87 octane tune shifts good and gives a little more acceleration, and well as slightly improving gas mileage (probably because the trans shifts less). The 91 octane tune runs like a completely new engine, very noticeable difference in power but no improvement in mileage. I have not tried the rock-crawling tune yet, maybe on a future run.

I would say the 5.13 gears and Flashpaq are the best things I have done to my Jeep. I was was going to start to build-up another JK, I would start here first.

purchased the predator from diablo sport.. plugged it in and got a message that the vehicle needs to be updated go there web sight to download the update. I tried calling and sat on hold for about 30 minutes, the message said to go online and use the tech forum, I did that, no response yet. What I gather from the web sight is you need to update on line, but in order to connect to the computer you need a special cable...49.00 for the cable on website. I was hoping for plug and tune, but no such luck. :dontknow:
I'll be returning it and going with the superchip flashpaq..... after reading a little found that it is set up for the jeep and it comes with all the necessary equipment to download the updates.
Thanks for listening.

The problem you are having is that Jeep changed their programming for the 2010 model and almost all programmers will not work for that year. The last time I checked (several months ago), the Flashpaq was not available for 2010s either. I would call to confirm before you order - call Superchips, don't ask the guys at the off-road shops (most know very little about the JK).

Flashpaq works with the 2010 and as you already know, comes with everything.

yep, just saw that the 2010 tune came out months ago, but they are still working some bugs out. You still can't disable TPMS with the 2010 tune.

exchaned the diablo for the superchip. came with everything, easy to update, easy to tune. Speedometer is right on now. I read an article that said you could disable the tpms but so far all I see is the ability to lower the pressure setting, but even then 26# is the lowest setting, I'm sure there will be an update later to disable it.
So a thumbs up from me for the superchip :Thumb:
And a thumbs up to the guys at G & G, really helpfull, stuff usuallly gets there next day and they so far have tolerated me driving the RC car around the shop...lol
Thanks, James

There is a way to turn off the TPMS in the advanced features. Here is a good link for learning how

https://www.superchips.com/forum/viewto ... 95&p=45251

as far as I know 2010 should be the same way. May have to download a update though.

Wish someone would tell me how well this program works for the 6spd :banghead:

Thanks for the link and the info. I guess I just need to study on it for a few moments and figure it out.
