Here's our new lemons project. We've been working really hard on it. We're almost stripped down to where we can build the cage. What's the going rate on 1 3/4"x.120 these days? trying to find me a deal.

We're gonna paint it like a Jurassic Park jeep and slap a sticker that says Jurassic Parkinson's on it.

Oh actually Richard, we were far more lucky than just needing a head gasket... The head was cracked between exhaust seats and water jackets between 4 of the valves. We scrambled to pick a part early this morning to get a new head. There's no apparent cracks in this one. I'm gonna put it in monday after work. We did love the way the car sounded with the exhaust my dad built.

We picked up 60 ft of 1 3/4"x.120" erw for 80 bucks. I have another 10 in DOM just in case i undershot the measurements. My brother knows a guy who works in some sort of fab shop. Well he's wanting a ride, so we might get a free cage for a ride. I've got another guy that bought a ride with an e30 BMW that's also interested. We're just gonna get fairly official about what to do when selling a ride before we make decisions as to how much to charge and who to let ride.

I'm just trying to learn from what I've had exposure with so far, and how those experiences can be improved upon. As for now... Got bit by a black widow, so I'm all cramped up and sore. A good few days to throw away since it's too hot to do anything.

Well it fired right up with our replacement head. I had a few nervous break downs about getting the timing chains right. It has a system that advances the intake timing based on rpm on the fly and it's very important to get the cam timing spot on. I have taken the front of the engine apart 3 times in the last 2 days to see how I did based on articles and YouTube videos. We also mounted the seat although it sits too high. Haven't driven it yet, but it's so damn tempting.
