On day 1, we did the Dutchman trail. Brad broke a Detroit locker about 1 mile into the trail, then his front pinion yoke and a front control arm mount, then ripped off a rear control arm mount. It was a very tough day for B-rad. The last obstacle on the trail, which supposedly nobody has made without a winch, proved to be a day ender for Josh and Roger; Josh lost his front ARB and Roger broke a rear axle shaft. I attempted it and almost made it but had to have my rear end winched over about 4 inches to unbind a rear wheel and let me climb out. I finished the remaining 2 miles of the trail with Sladen while the rest of the group limped the damaged rigs out to the tow rigs. The guys worked on their rigs in Sladen's shop till 4:30 in the morning and actually got everything fixed. They used Dana 70 spiders to fix Brad's Detroit Locker, and it worked!!!!
As you can imagine, most of the group were not ready to get up bright and early for the event runs on the second day, so we ended up going to Sand Hollow late to run some stuff on our own. The obstacles on the trails in Sand Hollow are AWESOME. This is buggy paradise. AJ pulled off an impossible line up a vertical 40 ft hillside and earned the golden shackle; it was one of the craziest things I have ever seen. Brad, AJ, and Josh got floppy on the trail in spots. Other than Brad's rig having a small issue with a line in the engine compartment and burping air out of his tires, we got through this trail relatively undamaged. That was until AJ had a major breakdown; AJ had left the trail early to go back to his RV, but came back to the end of the trail to wait for us because Josh had the RV keys. While AJ was waiting for us, he decided to play on a bonus obstacle and broke his knuckle / steering arm. We had to abandon his rig on the trail overnight and come back the following day with parts to fix.
We had a party at the condo Saturday night, where roger stole the spotlight as best drunk on the planet. Did you know he can make a radio change songs with his mind?
Lots of pics and video to follow.

Sounds like you guys had fun.

great vids as always
