Great compressor for on-board air

Postby NinjasYota » April 7th, 2014, 4:18 pm

Got this guy on ebay for $227, tried it out after Gorman ball and chain. Filled my 35's from 14 psi to 30 in 1:45 per tire, very happy with it!!

Puma compressors are awesome. Lots of expedition people use them. They are talked about a lot over on expeditionportal.com.

Nice buy. Kinda big though. I still love my big Co2 tank.

It is big, but it's so fast I don't mind hauling it around, that's why I have a pickup bed! I was tired of my slow auto zone 12v pump, usually I would drive around at 10 psi until I found a service station!

Your poor tires! How many miles would you run them like that!! And it beats the hand pump I had to get in a pinch lol. An on board compresser is something I need for sure!

I think the farthest was from Ballarat to Trona, like 10 miles. But once you start going faster, centrifugal force keeps them from bulging out, haha!
