The factory harness from the doner would probably be fine. The first one was hard because I over thought it. One could be made to work In a weekend easily. Plus the money saved buys a lot of beer. :drinks:

Well, WhiteSnake and Aaron's YJ SUCKED in the speed portion of KOH, so we made a deal and they got my V8 and 4 speed auto. The drivetrain is out and ready to go in the KOH rig, which left me lacking.

I had a 14 bolt and KP D60 combo with 4.56 gears and Detroit Locker in back from the K30 I bought at the military surplus auction like 3 years ago.

I have a TBI Chevy 350 (in great shape), 700r4 trans, and Chevy t-case out of an 88 suburban I bought to play with, which will be going in the YJ.

The plan is this:
Chevy v8, auto and tcase swap, one ton axles, XJ rear springs out back, Waggy springs up front, Comp cut in rear, highline tube fenders in front, missing link shackles in front (think "flexy samurai") homebuilt driveshafts with 1350 joints in rear (until I get the length and all correct, then order quality ones). fuel cell behind rear seat, in-line pump. Spring over axle swap with aforementioned springs.
Tire plan is....44x13x18" Russian Mil-Surp tires.

Ordered the crossover/high steer kit for the D60 and the V8 motor mounts today. Going to bring the YJ home Friday and get to work. Burb is ready to come apart, Axles are ready to go on Jeep. Need some XJ springs and Waggy Springs now. Anybody got a line on either?

Progress is being made. Deciding on whether to clock the T-case or just see how it looks once its in.

Desert Dog is hooking me up on his 41's, and since they are DOT ok'd, they'll go on first but I do still want 44's.
