New Rig/First Rig

Got my first Rig, unfortunately, it overheated after a ride and now has a new engine tick/piston slap(?)

anyway hope i can fix it without rebuilding the motor.
here are the specs
High pinion Dana 30 front axle with Super 30 kit and Eaton e- locker and 3/8 inner sleeve truss

Ford 8.8 rear axle with disk brakes and detroit locker.
Hydraulic assist steering Shackle relocation kit
3 electric fan kit
Open cooling system conversion
35 " mud terrains tires
4.88 gear ratio
Deaver leaf springs in rear and deaver coils up front with limit straps
Adjustable Acos coil adjusters
1 ton TRE steering
Lower control arm skids
Transfercase skid plate
Gas tank skid plate
NP242 Transfer case with slip yoke eliminator
New rear drive shaft
Adjustable track bar
Front and rear custom bumpers both with winch cradle and plug ins
3 row core radiator
Rock sliders
Clayton long arm 3 link
Riddler diff cover in rear

Thanks guys, it's sounding like a stuck lifter. tried to sea foam it, but it didn't work...
will probably replace the lifters in the next few weeks.

Sounds fun. I haven't had a chance to work on it yet. Someone trashed my rental so I've been on that.

One of the three fans stopped working I'm more worried about the ticking. Hoping it's just a lifter and not something more serious.

Having the engine rebuilt as we speak from Adam's Metallizing in Lancaster.
learned quite a few thing removing the engine... mostly that i hate the E-Torx bolts on top of the bell housing.
