Sorry guys, I didn't think he would come over here and start running his mouth, or that he would even know about Infectious Off-Road. This kid has a bad way of communicating his point. He was directed to check out this thread by another member of Infectious, all in good fun. But gotta give him credit for having the guts to post.

I have his email now, so Ill tell him that he is more than welcome to post here and run with us, but needs to tone it down a little.

I respect your thoughts on this Scott, But if for nothing else, I will take the money just to teach him a lesson (this kid said some pretty bad things that I kept off the board). I will give his $200 to the Stewards of the Sequoias as the only satisfaction I am getting from this is teaching him a lesson in humility. Something I had to learn the hard way myself a time or two.

As long as he tones it down, I would love to see more of his posts. That was some pretty entertaining stuff :stirPot: :moon:

This is seriously gay.... WTF am I going to do on Sunday?

To the little H2 girlie, you got :owned:

I am new to the group, but most Jeepers.... actually, most guys on the trail, will go out of their way to help anyone in need. So if you are afraid that you are going to break and get left.... it will not happen. That being said.... get a tampon, stem your flow, and let's get on with this showdown.

Honestly.... Chris picked way too easy of a trail and you should be able to make it without major issue. You are blowing easy money.

WOW!!!! I go out of town for a few days and you guys go all crazy!!!

Bert, You did the right thing I am all for freedom of speech and people being able to say there piece on this form. That being said I did go in and edited out the cuss words. This is a family friendly site and there is no place for that here. I also Issued him a warning letting him know that he is more than welcome to share his opinion on this site, I am not warning him for that, what we do not want here is a lot of foul language.

For those reasons Brian is still very welcome on this site if he can put his big boy pants on. But if he continues to cuss I will be forced to ban him, which is something I do not want to have to do.

:drinks: Cheers to all of the IOR members for your responses to his post. I am proud to be a part of this group! :salute:

I just looked in on this. This is stupid. Sounds like you all have little **** syndrome. Who cares what other people think about your ride and what it can do. I say just go out ansd wheel together. if someone has trouble, help them. don't hope that they will break and get stranded. I'm getting down on this forum. All this talk about what trail to take him on so he can break??? What is that?? Who cares about what his hummer can or cannot do. or what your Jeep might be able to do. I've seen H2's do the V notch at Last Chance. They are just as capable as a Jeep.

Ok, I appreciate your opinion and you have a right to it. But others don't always feel the same way (that's why we are different), but to lump the whole forum into it and say you will not wheel with anyone from the forum seems small minded and we would miss your input and expertise in the off roading community.

So are you challenging us to a size contest :lol3: . Wanna put money down with a 3rd party :lol3: .

igofshn, you should really get your facts straightened out before name calling. I, nor any member of Infectious tried to challenge anyone. This kid offered, no insisted on a challenge taking the hardest trail I could find (within a couple hours drive), kept egging it on, made numerous insults (not unlike yours), and kept his mouth running non-stop for 3 days about how wimpy and stupid jeep owners are (of which I assure you I am neither), including allegations of alternative sexual preferences and an affinity to perform unnatural acts with lesser species.

If you read this thread, you would understand that I leave NO ONE dead on the trail. We are accepting of all offroad vehicles and their drivers. We even extended the olive branch to this kid, who has since toned down his rhetoric and apologized to me. We continue to rib each other in good fun now, not unlike people were doing here, and you yourself have done in the past in regards to your preference for Samis over JK Jeeps.

It is what it is.

Bert, I guess he didn't read this, Cris is the one that got challenged!!
Hey guys, I got called out to an "off-road challenge" by some punk kid in a new H2. Its got a lift, 35s, rear locker, and mall-crawler tube steps that hang way below the rocker panels. Experience, well lets just conclude that he has probably never rock crawled before. Pretty much one of those little punk know-it-alls.

He claims Jeeps, especially JKs, are crap and can't off road anywhere without getting stuck or breaking. I started laughing at him and pointing out that his Chevy Avalanche with a $50,000 SUV body on it is crap, and that they break down on difficult trails more than they finish them. This really pissed him off, so he called me out to a challenge next Sunday - the trail of my choice. I have to pay him $100 is he makes it through the trail without breaking down or being pulled and he will pay me $200 if he doesn't, so I have to pick something hard. No joke, he is serious, as we have laid down money with a 3rd party. It has to be within a couple hours drive and we each get to pick our own spotter. I would like to split my winnings with Henry if he is willing to spot :drinks:

I will definately take him through the rocks, as H2 axles break like toothpics in them and have 00 articulation. The problem is, If I take him through places like Calico gatekeeper or the difficult part of BC109 area, it could take days to get that POS out of there when it breaks. I was thinking that the rock climb and sluice box at Hungry valley might be better because when his POS breaks he can cell phone a tow truck from the camp ground, and its an easy place to pull him out when he gets stuck. And, my jeep can easily do those obstacles. What do you guys think?

I plan to make a classic youtube video out of it.
so maybe you wouldn't really leave him out there but wishing he would break his rig so you could prove a point??? WTF. It still makes me want to think about wheeling with some of you.

anyone that has ever wheeled with anyone from Infectious knows that we would never leave anyone, and we would lend a hand on getting the vehicle back safe. This is Infectious, and we do have fun here, but remember when someone has a FAILED moment, we are there for them!!!!

I have wheeled with an H2, back in 99 in Moab. He broke an axle 50 yards into the trail. The guide said this was a common occurrence.

I will concede that an H2 can probably hold its own off road, and even on some fairly moderate obstacles like v-notch. But I disagree with you that an H2 can go up the Hammers or Calico Gatekeeper, Or any big rocks for that matter. So, we disagree; I'm perfectly willing to accept that and move on. BUTTT, if you openly challenge me in the rudest of manners, insult me over a period of 3 days, and contact my Friends to tell them that I am a "female genital", I will definitely let that person humiliate themselves. Sometimes people get what they ask for and deserve. I had no intentions of putting him in harms way or leaving him stranded, as I clearly stated. Just to serve him some humble pie. Unlike most people, I can laugh and see the inherent comedy in adversity. Better than resorting to violence, no? I still hope he shows up next Sunday, because I love to wheel and to push myself. And I love to see different kinds of rigs on the trail. And the money goes to help keep our local trails open :Thumb: .

Mavin (Brian) has already apologized to me for the insults and immature behavior, and I have accepted his apology and moved on. Its all in good fun now; Hes been emailing me pics of smashed Jeeps and Ive been sending him vids of H2s stuck on easy obstacles and with broken axles.

WHOA, your cut and quote skills should land you a job on CNN. Maybe put on a skirt, get an "Elvis" tic (talk through the corner of your mouth), and talk about missing college girls in Bermuda for 3 years, and you could replace Gretta on FOX.

We decided to stay away from BC109 this weekend, as the "Oxnard Rainbow Riders" 4x4 club were having their annual clothing optional fun-in-the-mud run. (don't you live in Oxnard?) :suprise:

Anyhow, the wife stole my JK and Freeway ridge is very close - so thats where she decided she was going. I had to follow in the TJ to make sure she didn't break my baby!

I invited Kid-Hummer, but he did not show. I guess he was running with the Rainbows in that pretty yellow H2 :bleh:

Well, this episode of off-road drama has come to fruition.

I took the JK over to Brian's Dads's yard yesterday to have a beer. I put on a little Jeep show with some of the stuff in the yard. I guess "hummer don't play that" :lol3:. Lets just leave it at that and Ill spare Brian from the details :bleh:. Lets just say that he has to wait for a part so he won't be wheeling this Sunday

He still thinks that H2s are pretty awesome in the dirt, but I guess he didn't realize that Jeeps like to climb over things. I was actually surprised that he could get a front tire over some stuff. He is thinking about buying an older Wrangler or XJ to fix up.

Brian said that he is going to upgrade some of his stuff and is interested in doing some harder things. :drunkbuds: . We may go to Freeway ridge next week if he has his part by then. I told him to go swap parts with a Tahoe, same thing right?

cris was driving over some 20-24" pipes that we had in the yard to use as colvert. I didnt no that jeep axels just dropped and moved like that. I thought little jeeps would get tippy if you put them off center. he went over them easy. When I tried to crawl over them, i got the first tire over and once got both tires over but would bottom out and have to get pulled off the pipe. I scraped the bottom up pretty good but its alright. cris also drove over some concrete planters in the yard. he scraped and hit his rear bumper but he made it easy. I treid to get my wheel on the planter but was having problems. when I drove away from the planter my hummer was driving funny and someone noticed that the tires look wierd. turns out that I bent up my tie rod. im going to buy the polyperformance kit to fix it and made it stronger.

I was going to challenge him to a run in the sand but il keep my mouth shut for now till i find out more :lol3: chris was telling me about a pretty good trail near us that we might run.

cris you are cheap. you could have at least bougt the beer :thefinger:

people do get a little suprised at what a jeep can do, some jeep owners get suprised at what a jeep can do.
as far as the sand i know Chris loves the sand

freeway ridge trail is up the canyon (hwy178) and can be alot of fun. let us all know when you wanna go and i'm sure some of will be able to make it.

polyperformance makes some good quality stuff, should be the last tie rod you'll ever buy.

i still think you should post up in the readers rides section and tell us about your H2, post up some pics too.

hope to see you on the trails soon
