Whoa.... seek real medical advice (i.e. a spine surgeon) before going down the voodoo path.
No offense to anyone that finds Chiropractic adjustments as sound medical care, but I have noticed three things.
1. No one that sees a Chiropractor ever stops seeing them.
2. Those same people that never get better, sing the highest praises of this type of care, yet they never get better?
3. Back specialist in the medical field (i.e. surgeons, physical therapist) don't often, if ever recommend this route of care.
Seems like a scam to me, but it is just my opinion and my third observation could just be those wanting to keep the dollars in their own pockets.
When I hurt my neck, I had a lot of people tell me to see "their" Chiropractor. Something inside told me to stay away, especially after a friend told her's that I was in urgent need of his care and he called me one night around eight pm to sell me on his services and how I was risking it all by not coming to see him... how many real doctors have you come across that will do high pressure sales tactics?
In the end... my surgeon told me (after surgery) that the way the disc material was wedged between the vertebrae and the spinal cord, I would have been paralyzed if I had had tried any 'adjustments.' What on the surface looked like a few ruptured discs, turned out to be three removed vertebrae.
Now mind you.... during that sales pitch phone call I spoke of, the Chiropractor in question told me he'd look at the MRIs after I got them, but wanted me to come in for immediate relief and not to wait...
Just something to chew on.
