Infectious off road 2010 rubicon run

This is where to post runs that are going to happen!
Now, there is no law that says you can't bury your shit, so if that's what you want to do go ahead. However, it is essential to encourage groups to take their own measures to deal with waste.
I wonder if these animals that don't bury or use a wag bag, do the same at home? It's really kind of sad that we even have to discuss this. Common sense folks!

that pisses me off that people littler in cities let alone some of the few areas that are still beautiful. I am surprised how much trash had to be cleaned up. That is sad. Wish people had more respect for nature and one another.

So now that you are not working, how about joining us on this trip? Come on Jeremy, you can take the easy routes and we won't tell anyone :brows:

But the easy lines on this trail are often much harder than the hard lines on most other trails. Poor Jeremy would have to take 100 vicodin a day to survive... and on that many drugs, he might find himself prettied up with a little makeup and come home wondering why his rear end hurts more than his back. A Bon fire would be awsome, it's alot of weight though. I think if we all take a little bit the extra weight shouldn't be a problem.

Im am going to try to carry some wood for the night at the springs, but ill have to see how much room I have after I load up. Thats what those darn XJs were for :lol3:

Worse case scenario is that we can scrounge some fallen wood off the ground. Its still very early in the season this year, so hopefully there is still some to pick from (probably an abundance of fallen limbs from the heavy snow this year).

My condolences TJer.

There was plenty of wood on the trail last weekend. We brought our own, but it wouldn't have been necessary. Not sure how much will be gone over the run weekend, but I would bet there will still be plenty, although short hiking missions might have to be made to gather it.

Larry, I need to clarify a couple things;

1) Are you guys staying at the Loon Lake Campground on the night of Thursday, July 8 ?

2) What time do you plan on heading out of camp that morning?

3) Are you driving straight back to Bako after running the backside into Tahoe? Are you getting a hotel for that night?

I plan on Leaving Bako at about 9:0am on Thursday (about 4 hours behind you), but without cell reception, I wont know where you guys are at, where a couple of those trails are, or at or what time to expect you in camp (it could be a long night for you guys if someone breaks down on Thursday's runs). My clan is thinking about working our way up the 395 and stopping to do a little creek fishing along the way and staying in Stateline for the night. Then run up to your campsite Early Friday morning. After the run is done, Im going to stay in a hotel that last night. I doubt Im going to feel like driving 6 -7 hours home after running through Cadillac and down the back.

Better check fire restrictions on the CON. In the past fires were not allowed. Changes year to year.

Fires are fine, just make sure someone gets a fire permit. I think any USFS location will issue one (free).

Last weekend on the slab between the Box and Spider Lake. :drunkbuds: The wood got wet with the rain on the way in and on the first day... so a little smoke until it dried out in the pit... you can see several fires (or the smoke from them) around us as well. I don't know about the gang hand signals.... ask Randy.

Norma is going to stay at an RV park in Coloma with her daughter. I will drive the RV up Thursday morning and set it up for Norma. Me and Zayne would like to meet you guys at the camp spot on Thursday evening. Saturday after the run, me and Zayne will go back to Coloma and stay Saturday night and then drive home on Sunday.

Let me know where it is or the GPS coordinates and I will see you guys there.

I found these coordinates to Loon Lake
