Superior Evolution Chromoly shafts are very nice. The RCVs are the best of the best and pretty close to unbreakable, but expensive.

Just try to stay away from the G2 shafts that 4WPs tries to sell. Those do not have a good track record.

When you went to 4.56 gears and your Auburn up front, did you upgrade to 30 spline? If so, that makes a huge difference in strength.

No sadly I still have the 27 spline. Couldn't afford axles when I did the lockers. Now I don't have the money to change the locker...lol. I guess I'm stuck with 27's.

Oh well, I can think of worse problems to have.

That's a vicious cycle. "Good money after bad"

I would pick up a cheap set of 27 spline take offs for spares while I saved for a Super 30 or something bigger.

X2.

A good set of trail spares can be found pretty cheap while you save up for some burfields.

I know i'm going to catch flack for this but I am prob going to put G2 27 spline axles if I can get a good price on them. They may be weaker than the Superior but they do have a lifetime warranty. I have also seen that they are actually made by Ten Factory http://www.pirate4x4.com/forum/showthread.php?t=781536 which is supposed to be good.

I have to do something now that I will have 35's on it. When I broke my axle on the Rubicon we couldn't find a spare TJ axle so we ended up with a YJ axle which fits but is much weaker, so I am worried about that weak link.
