Just in case anyone didn't know what we're doing, here's the flyer we're passing out. I appreciate anyone who is willing to come out and support our opening, and we're trying to make sure everyone has a good time. This is a big step for Eric and I. I've worked the last 30 years for local car dealerships (10 yrs at Toyota, 5 yrs at Haddad, and 15 at Jim Burke Ford), and I got laid off last year when everything slowed down so much. After spending over a year thinking about what to do next, this is what came about.
Just a few comments about myself, since most around here don't know me well. I've been wheeling for a long time, in fact I was in the Trailblazers back in the 60's when I was in high school. I've been fortunate enough to wheel all over the country, I've organized quite a few events and raised and donated many thousands to land use from events I put on, including the annual Goatfest in JV. It's important to give back to our sport, so I've been to plenty of land use meetings and planning sessions, and been active in a few clubs, including many years on the board of our national XJ association. My wonderful wife and I have been married 37 years, even though she has no interest in wheeling. We have 3 grown daughters, and 3 grandson's (who live next door), I'm blessed. Recently I'm back to wheeling a full bodied rig on 33's, and am looking forward to wheeling the local trails with my grandsons, though I'm still going to spend plenty of time taking the buggy out.
Anyway, we'll do our best to give quality service and value to our customers, and we appreciate everyone who comes out to see us.
