RUBICON JEEPERS JAMBOREE

Postby Outlaw » March 15th, 2008, 3:19 pm

We will be going to rubicon again this year. We will be doing the four day trip which is July 24,25,26,27. We will have a meeting the end of this month or the first part of next to discuss our travel plans. We need to get an idea on how many want to go.

We will be there!!!!

Now if we are going you will have to come up with a really good excuse to not go considering we are getting married in June and then moving to Hawaii in August!!

If you have never been on the jamboree, you are in for a long day. don't be surprised if you get to Rubicon Springs at midnight. 400 rigs on one trail at the same time. No thanks.

Actually we went last year when they let 400 through and got to Buck Island just at night fall aprox. 7:00. It was not bad and there were lots of awesome people to hang out and talk Jeeps with. This year they are only letting 250 people through. So it shouldn't be such a long trail ride.

Nobody wants to go to rubicon? Whats with everyone, I thought we were a hardcore offroad club. If we go to moab next year is anyone going to go with us? I guess if you cant run with the big dogs you just stay on the porch.

No, we have not set any dates for MOAB. Last year we talked about going to rubicon and then moab this year, but we had such a good time at rubicon last year we decided to go again this year. The best time to go to moab is easter week. there is a big party going on over there right now. If enough of you want to go we can start planning a trip for next year. We could also talk about others such as the CHILI CHALLENGE in New Mexico. Or SIERRA TREK or THE HAMMERS in johnson valley. All of these trails are trails that some of us want to do in the near future. we are open to suggestions so we can decide as a club where we want to go.
