Is this confirmed for the 22-23rd? I have to put in to make sure I get the days off. Also lets start a new thread in the up coming runs for this!

Once we get the dates nailed down what do you guys think about trying to get some vendor support and a little more advertising for this? Hopefully we can make this a big event attracting lots of newbie Jeepers!!! :Thumb:
I was waiting to see what dates get 10 votes first, then i was going to post in the up coming runs :yup:

How big did this get last year? I am going to start calling vendors to see if we can get stuff to raffle and they are wanting to know how big this event will get.

Who has Ideas on how we can get the word out to noobs?

As usual, about 75% of the folks who said they were going didn't show :shave: . We ended up with 5-6 rigs from infectious and a couple of other people we met at the campground tagged along with us. It was way too cold for tent camping (some snow on the ground), so turn-out was very small. Not as bad as the Rubicon run where 20 jeeps committed and 3 showed, but still pretty bad.

You have to talk to Peter at the park office if you want to reserve a group camping spot and tell him that a large group of friends from our off-road club want to camp together, otherwise they do not do reservations. If vendors do any type of advertising, promotion, sales, or raffles - you have to obtain a permit and provide proof of insurance because they consider it an "event" rather than a group of friends camping.

Promoting it could draw a lot more noobs, maybe our friends at 4WP can help us get the word out so we can get some of those mall-crawlers off the pavement. Maybe put some flyers at the counter at 4WP and G&G?
