LOL.. I think I missed that discussion... What's the background on the "campsite" issue?
When I say "campsite" I'm referring to a flat spot to pitch my tent. I don't need running water, lights, toilets or Internet access... Don't need security either. I bring my co-pilot, Mr. Sig Sauer

Ah.... I (and apparently some others, whom are more silent than my outspoken self) hate campgrounds. I go out to the woods/desert/etc to get away from it all... not have a mini Compton on one side of me and a mini East LA on the other. I (or maybe, we) would rather use my 4wd vehicle and get off the beaten path where Mr GangBanger and company doesn't go, where Mr Ranger and all his rules doesn't go, and most importantly, where it doesn't cost money to camp on the side of the freeway!
But, if ya all want to camp in the pretty campsite, don't let my tirade get in the way. I will still be there, in silent protest!
And wow... look at that. Pete has a new guy to try and bunk with. I don't understand it, but apparently you Sig guys have some kind of phone home party after dark in the tent event. Seems Pete always has someone sleeping with him? I don't get it... but he sees IOR more of a gang, than as a club. He wants to "patch people over," rape prospects, and have club wide naked mud baths at the end of runs (while there was no mud, he did try this in Big Bear.... luckily the Ranger showed up and wrote him a ticket!). SO whatever... Sig On!
Good Sunday,
I'm sorry if this sounds like a dumb question, I have never been to calico before, I was looking on line and it looks like we have to have reservations, and it looks like theres no group option, so do we need to reserve one or can we just meet at a spot in the desert and camp? My family is excited to go and iv been wanting to check it out for years too.
Another dumb question, you guys ok with beer drinking? I know some clubs don't like people drinking around them, I don't drink a lot, but like to while camping.
What are the trails like out there?
Ummm..... drink it!, smoke it!, or hump it!... as long as you can maintain on the trail, everyone is good with it. Off the trail, I guess we draw the line at forced sodomy in front of the children.
Just kidding.... of course the kids are allowed to watch!
We are supposedly all adults, right? I say enjoy yourself, but be mindful of your limits if you are going to be driving. As a club, I believe this is the feeling we all have.
Some of us swear like sailors (me!), yet were never in the Navy? We (I), do attempt to keep it clean in front of the kiddies, but fair warning... malfunctions regularly occur.
We are for sure, kid friendly, but not a "family club." Hope that makes sense. Basically.... the rules here are have fun and take care of one another like family. Unless of course, your family is like the Bundys... if so, I am not sure what to tell ya.
As for the camping.... again, this is Becca's run and she will have to give the details as to what she wants.
