This is where to post runs that are going to happen!

Good Sunday,

I'm sorry if this sounds like a dumb question, I have never been to calico before, I was looking on line and it looks like we have to have reservations, and it looks like theres no group option, so do we need to reserve one or can we just meet at a spot in the desert and camp? My family is excited to go and iv been wanting to check it out for years too.

Another dumb question, you guys ok with beer drinking? I know some clubs don't like people drinking around them, I don't drink a lot, but like to while camping.

What are the trails like out there?
LOL.. I think I missed that discussion... What's the background on the "campsite" issue?

When I say "campsite" I'm referring to a flat spot to pitch my tent. I don't need running water, lights, toilets or Internet access... Don't need security either. I bring my co-pilot, Mr. Sig Sauer :)
Ah.... I (and apparently some others, whom are more silent than my outspoken self) hate campgrounds. I go out to the woods/desert/etc to get away from it all... not have a mini Compton on one side of me and a mini East LA on the other. I (or maybe, we) would rather use my 4wd vehicle and get off the beaten path where Mr GangBanger and company doesn't go, where Mr Ranger and all his rules doesn't go, and most importantly, where it doesn't cost money to camp on the side of the freeway!

But, if ya all want to camp in the pretty campsite, don't let my tirade get in the way. I will still be there, in silent protest! :freakout: :furious:  :thefinger:

And wow... look at that. Pete has a new guy to try and bunk with. I don't understand it, but apparently you Sig guys have some kind of phone home party after dark in the tent event. Seems Pete always has someone sleeping with him? I don't get it... but he sees IOR more of a gang, than as a club. He wants to "patch people over," rape prospects, and have club wide naked mud baths at the end of runs (while there was no mud, he did try this in Big Bear.... luckily the Ranger showed up and wrote him a ticket!). SO whatever... Sig On! :stirPot:

Ummm..... drink it!, smoke it!, or hump it!... as long as you can maintain on the trail, everyone is good with it. Off the trail, I guess we draw the line at forced sodomy in front of the children.

Just kidding.... of course the kids are allowed to watch! :thefinger:

We are supposedly all adults, right? I say enjoy yourself, but be mindful of your limits if you are going to be driving. As a club, I believe this is the feeling we all have.

Some of us swear like sailors (me!), yet were never in the Navy? We (I), do attempt to keep it clean in front of the kiddies, but fair warning... malfunctions regularly occur.

We are for sure, kid friendly, but not a "family club." Hope that makes sense. Basically.... the rules here are have fun and take care of one another like family. Unless of course, your family is like the Bundys... if so, I am not sure what to tell ya.

As for the camping.... again, this is Becca's run and she will have to give the details as to what she wants.

Haha got it, I'm not a big fan of shitfaced guys driving around either , there is a line. I think your the one that put the card on my tj, what trail did you guys hit? T6 or did u just turn around, I didn't even notice any other jeeps in that parking spot that day, oh yeah they took the rocks from t6 and filled in that parking area, along with some handrail looking rails on one side, I'm going to go check it out this week, hope they didn't screw up the trail again, making it easier! They do that up here alot.

This is where we plan on dry camping this time out(see the red circle). There is a large spot on the right side of the canyon.
Normally we would camp at the Y in Mule Canyon but there is a larger group already planning on that spot.

Finally!! Becca and her boy toy have finally come out and spoken on the matter. YEAH!!!! No campsites! I love you two.... might have to see about getting the boy toy drunk... as I don't hit on involved women. Men... well, I never tried an involved man. Who knows.... is it better than a single man? I haven't tried that either. Hmm.... seeing I likely will not ever go there, I'll give you my little bitch. She isn't much and likely she'll just hand off her little bitch to you..... but Trevor has a killer rep in Cottonwood. I hear the biggest black men and women (of course, with strap-ons) in town are his regulars as he takes it easier than most, yet still lets you know you are something special.

I'll work on that for you.

@Jimmyburkitt: Yep.... that was me. We did Dishpan that day and GM, JB, and Holcomb the day prior. Not really sure what T6 is?

WTF.... I am a sissy for not wanting a flush toilet and running water? FAIL!

And really? I hear Trevor is amazing and if he's not into that, Vicki apparently can fool the best of em when she tucks it tight.

As for beating me up.... what? I clearly stated above that I am not going to be making those moves, but do to my great appreciation for not making me camp alone in the desert, I offered Trevor's lips to your boy toy. I guess, if he prefers a lady, Vicki can work as a stand in.

:thankyou:

Count in Zak, Katie, and at least 2 kids. Might bring 3. We'll be there with 2 vehicles, one big tent and possibly 16x6.5 trailer. I'll bring as many tools as I can fit, and some MRE's.....but obviously I haven't "found" enough for everyone...yet. Is there a clean creek nearby for water to wash dishes or fill canteens? (Yes I drink out of the mountain creeks.....that water is cleaner than the crap we drink here in town)

I've got a TJ with 31's. Hoping for a lockrite in the rear axle and a 2" lift by then. If anybody with experience on the lock rites wants to help, I'd appreciate it, and show gratitude with Beer and Deuce rides.....

2013 Jeep JKUR on 35" Kanati Trail Hogs, 2.5" Rough Country coil lift
2006 Yamaha Rhino 660 on 28" BajaCross, with winch.
2008 Dodge Ram 2500 6.7 CTD leveled with 20's and 35's.
Some boom toys here and there too.

Well I consider a campsite a place where I can sleep. Many people may consider a campsite where they can sleep silently or on a level plain, but that is not always the case. I sleep for for free and noise past 10:00pm thank.you. I'm looking foward to the club run with some friends. SEE YOU THERE :beermug:

You are all gay. It is official. Not the friendly, flamboyant gay... but rather the militant lesbian gay.

I want peace and quiet and the ability to have no rules. If your campsite allows me to run around naked before 10pm and scream after 5am.... I am down!

Pussy Palmer is moving.... officially? Wow. IOR Colorado, here we come!

@zak: Try Harry (TheBiggDog) for Lockrite install experience. He just did his. I would say, without lockers, Calico is doable but you might not leave with a smile. You'll surely have to get tugged a few times and shit will get scrapped.

Whitesnake? Some hair band from the 80s, right? What does this have to do with me? Was the singer a flaming cold sore wearing nut like me?

And are we are going to see redemption or ???

Are we going to have any members open to running the boring stuff out there (scrambler, doran side loops, gatekeeper, etc.)? Lots of clearance and lockers on both ends will be required and there is a very likely chance of body damage. Rollovers happen in these extra credit areas. Definitely agree with Mark, a mini hammers is the best way to describe some of these sections. If you are just going for mild and wild wheeling, no worries, there is plenty of that out there to be had.... but there are a few areas for our asylum bound friends. I was hoping Henry, Chris, Richard, Tilly etc. would sign up, but none of my bitches are?

To all my lost fans... big rocks make for great video!

Oh man.... I missed this when you wrote it and I was so confused for so long. Gotta keep up with you guys... moving too fast. Then... I guess you gotta move fast when Trevor sees some meat. He puts it all in his mouth like there would be no tomorrow and never leaves a trace. Gotta love a swallower!

Na... I have maintained a infection free area around my crotch since birth... plan of staying that way until death. I guess if that changes, I'll work the Dale while my cohort works his corner in Cottonwood. Surely you can't fault me for wanting to spread the love and associated drips, throughout Bako!
I should be able to make it... I'll let you guys know asap... as this may be my last trip for awhile... it's official I'm moving to CO in Nov!
Make it or not.... your going away party will be had Saturday night, in the campsite. Booze, drugs, guns, homoerotic sex (this is only if you show up and unlike BB, you must do your nastiness in a tent!) and women will all be present (for those of us that like that kind of thing). Sounds like you might miss the party of the year!
