Ok so after having the loaded camper and trailer on the gasser going up the grapevine... It sucks to say the least...

Which used car dealer in Bako or LA are is the best to buy a diesel truck from, looking for an extended cab or 4door with less than 200k miles preferably a 7.3ford... I like the fords more than the others for a reliable truck even though i work for cummins lol

Don't rule out Keif and Sons Ford in Mojave. They have always treated my family good and have great pricing on used cars and trucks. (I'm not employed or related to them)

Pick up a camera ads and try to find a private seller. I can't stand any dealer after the experiences in trying to find a VW wagon in this town. I can understand making compromises on getting a house, but you should have no need to compromise on a car.

I'd get pre-approved at a bank and then shop private sellers....you'll get a better deal that way. Paid 19k for my 06 dodge 5.9L cummins 4x4 with 125k on it
2013 Jeep JKUR on 35" Kanati Trail Hogs, 2.5" Rough Country coil lift
2006 Yamaha Rhino 660 on 28" BajaCross, with winch.
2008 Dodge Ram 2500 6.7 CTD leveled with 20's and 35's.
Some boom toys here and there too.

Get pre-approved if possible, then shop craigslist, camera ads, and the local dealers. Go to kbb.com and familiarize yourself with the price ranges of the trucks you'll be looking at. You'll also get a sense of pricing from looking at the various trucks you'll find. You won't be able to stick to one or two dealers because they won't all have the type of truck you're looking for. If you can get pre-approved at a bank or credit union, the craigslist is probably your best bet, since it will search out of our area. The key will be finding the right truck, regardless of where. Also, if you're making payments, remember that a newer truck isn't more payment, it's just a longer payment.

The dealerships seem to be price gouging on the used Diesels I looked at. I saw some pretty decent private sales.

Check this package out... Tow rig and trailer or just the truck. It's older but these 7.3's run forever.

He'll have to separate them to sell them. The '93 won't be a Power Stroke, I believe, but that still might be a nice truck.
