We should have a bit of people looking for the club to talk about it as well and get involved with it.

I'll be going most likely Saturday evening. It will be good to meet some of Infectious Member's this will be my first group run/meet so I'll be the green guy out there I hope to learn a lot and just have a good time out there. Any do's or don't I should know ahead of time? Or anything specific items to bring or not bring?

DO bring alcohol
DON'T sit to close to the campfire after we've been drinking :)

Bring at the very least an air pump to refill your tires. Maybe a strap.
It's an easy going event. Just come and have fun!

Are you using stainless lines or something? If so, you should probably upgrade to the matco or snap-on set of flaring tools. the cheap Rigid set has always worked for me with the zinc-coated steel lines. Also, don't mix 45* double flare connections with AN fittings - it will leak every time. I think I gave you some standard to AN adaptors for that.

Hopefully I will be getting there tomorrow morning around 10, if all goes well. It's going to be a slow journey pulling that grade with the motorhome.

Yeah.... I had no fucking clue when I started... now I am a brake fucking master.

I've mixed plenty std and an fittings... part of the original issue. I ordered everything to adapt correctly and still had leaks. Started looking at the flares and they were all crappy compared to a OEM one. As I said... broke four tools getting this far. So some Googling and I found that most ppl are unhappy with the el chepo tool and seemed to all recommend a hydro unit.

Some searching found the one I wanted (Mastercool Universal), but no one had them locally or online that could deliver overnight... so JEGS had my second option (Eastwood) and I pulled the trigger. 250 bones and a half day later I have the hydro unit.... just made a flare with it in about a minute (not knowing what I am doing yet) and made the most perfect flare!

So.... between this tool and a bunch of new line, I should have my brakes perfect sometime tomorrow. Still won't make Gorman as the muffler guy would, then wouldn't do the rig on the trailer and I can't revisit him till those brakes are complete.

This is the item I got.... very nice if anyone needs to do some brakes. :Thumb:
